Zen Chat
(LEP) - An Evening With
Seijaku Roshi
While we are all
born with the mind of clarity and wisdom, the mind of compassion
and self-confidence, we lose touch with it as we begin to
develop an "idea" of "my-Self". Disconnecting with our original
state of mind, this self becomes our number-one preoccupation as
well as a barrier to fulfilling dreams and living life to the
fullest.
The Way of Zen helps us discover how to recognize and settle
into our place in the world, and to encounter it through the
quality of all victorious mastery.
With Seijaku's skillful interaction, lively dialogue and sharing
with students and guests, we learn the wisdom of our true-nature
and begin shedding our fears. We can then begin to live more
purposeful and more joyful lives.
-
These series of
talks given by Seijaku Roshi, will present how participants can
apply ancient strategies to meeting the challenges of
modern life with clarity, resilience and kindness.
-
There will be
opportunities for open discussion and questions.
-
During the course
of the talks, there will be suggested practices and experiential
exercises, that participants can bring to their daily life and
relationships.
Including guided meditation and visualization techniques.
If you have ever
wondered how to live a life that meets your practical and
spiritual needs, you'll not want to miss a moment with Seijaku
Roshi and Friends!

Zen - Is A Relational Path - Part #2
Mindfulness Dialogue is an
interpersonal meditation practice. It brings the mindfulness and
tranquility of silent meditation directly into our experience
with daily life and other people. As humans, we are relational
beings; as we begin to wake up, clarity and freedom can
illuminate our relationships with others at home, and in the
workplace.
Mindfulness Dialogue draws from traditional Buddhist wisdom, but
it is not a Buddhist practice in the religious sense. There is
nothing about the practice that would preclude people of any
faith or belief system from participating. In Mindfulness
Dialogue we come face-to-face with core human experiences, and
learn to meet the challenges of modern daily living with all
victorious mastery.
The evening will include a gentle guided meditation, teaching,
and time for sharing and Q&A, followed by Refreshments.
Donation - $10 Individuals. $15 Spouses/Partners. $5 Students
(Student ID Required) and

spiritual practice and the fundamental skills and strategies
that support bringing practice to everyday activities and
relationships.
With our world
facing so many challenges, we are all called to look deeply at
our lives and make a commitment to discovering what it really
means to be a human-being and work towards supporting a more
sustainable future for ourselves and for all beings.
