Sesshin is a meditation retreat in which the primary activity throughout the day is zazen (seated meditation). A sesshin at Pine Wind Zen Center lasts from one-day to seven days, roughly 8 am to 8 pm (one-day). Aside from zazen there may be Oryoki (formal) meals, liturgy, lectures and infrequent breaks. Strict silence is kept throughout the period. Partial participation is welcome.
