Our Volunteer Program (work scholarship) is intended for people who wish to contribute to Pine Wind and take advantage of the programs and services offered.

For those who have the financial need, volunteer hours can be exchanged for certain classes and programs (does not include classes in The Bodhi School of Healing and Energy, or retreats held off campus).

An $8 hourly rate is credited for your work, and a maximum of 75% of the tuition for a particular class, workshop, or event, may be earned and must be earned in advance of the event.

Path of Service Scholarship Program

The Path of Service Scholarship Program is intended for people who wish to receive Formal Zen Training, but have a limited income preventing them from paying a part of or the full tuition ($1200).  

Path of Service members participate in formal Zen training for home practitioners, seminars, dharma talks, community meetings, weekly teachings, Sangha gatherings, and in practice periods and Sesshin's.

Formal Zen Training Program - $600. ($300 Deposit due September 11, 2010) Monthly payments of $50 towards balance.

Path of Service members offer a minimum of 4 hours of service to the Center each week, which includes grounds maintenance and temple cleaning. The areas of work practice are kitchen, gardening, housekeeping, and maintenance.

You will receive food and lodging during sesshin's and overnight retreats.
