Seijaku Roshi is the spiritual leader and the founder of
The Zen Society.

After a series of personal
transformative insights during the early years of his life, Seijaku
began teaching publicly in 1975 at the request of his friends and
students. In 1985, Seijaku founded The Zen Society, a nonprofit
organization committed to a single goal -
"to ignite The Dharma of Freedom and create a new spiritual paradigm
for the 21st Century."
Seijaku is an American mystic whose teachings are often compared to
those of the ancient
Zen Masters and Western Contemplative Sages. Over the years he has become a
spiritual pioneer sharing his profound definition of the meaning
and purpose
of religion and "authentic spirituality": "Freedom - the liberation of the human
heart from the influences of a fear-driven consciousness and culture
of conditioned discontentment." - to audiences everywhere.
“Authentic Spirituality is always about one thing—Freedom. The
basic instinct for freedom has nothing to do with any religious
or spiritual tradition,
no matter how ancient or impressive...It has to do with a
primordial impulse to live ones life authentically. Ego or
this "conditioned self-image" we adopt at an early age is always
recreating and translating the present experience according to
someone else's idea for us or some other agenda but - freedom.
Awakening or liberation from a lifetime of conditioned
experiences happens when one decides to respond to this impulse
and recognize the hidden and infinite potential within
themselves, to question, to wonder, and to look deeply without getting stuck in
sentimentality or fear.
For
most of us the greatest mystery of all,
is Who We Truly Are.
The single most important journey you will ever take is
The Quest to Recognize Yourself.
The single most important contribution you
have to make is you."
