You are invited to join Seijaku Roshi and the Monks of Pine Wind as they welcome Masters in the Martial Arts and Energy Schools for a most auspicious gathering.

Seijaku Roshi will bless and establish the Bodhi School of Healing and Energy Studies, and install Sifu Karen Schlacter as its first Master of Students.

Come and enjoy a powerful and educational day with Masters from the Tri-State area and from across the country.

See and purchase artwork from local artists; witness the ancient Lion Dance with drummers, samurai sword demonstrations, Kung Fu; refreshments and so much more.

At the same time learn more about Pine Wind Zen Center and its many public programs including the new -
Bodhi School of Healing and Energy Studies.

Masters

Sifu Karen Schlacter

Sifu Karen Schlachter is our Master Instructor for studies in Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong. She has been involved in the Martial Arts for 51 years. She holds the equivalent of 5 Black Belts and is a member of 8 Halls of Fame nationwide. She was rated the #1 Senior Woman in the country in Forms and Sparring by the Professional Karate Union and held that distinction for 3 years. Although Sifu Karen has competed quite successfully on the national circuit her interests lie in teaching the benefits of Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong for healing and spiritual growth. She is a Karuna Reiki Master Teacher and Healer. She is also an accomplished Vedic Palmist and enjoys teaching people how to do "Palmistry at a Glance". Sifu Karen enjoys teaching people how to read themselves to stay in balance in life through movement and stillness.

Sensei Erick Saia

Phoenix Martial Arts Pennsauken

Sensei Erick is Sifu Karen Schlachter's top student and has been named her Si Hing or Inheritor of the Sun Moon Fist Martial Arts System. Sensei Erick began his Martial Arts path studying Aikido as a teen. He now trains his students in Judo Aiki Jitsu, Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong.

Master Anthony Lingo

8th Degree Black Belt and Chief Instructor New Jersey Black Belt Association Fairview Dojo - Collings Avenue Camden. Master Lingo has been a devoted student of the Nisei GoJu Ryu Karate System since 1963 in Vineland NJ.

He is a highly respected resident in his community and has been involved with the City of Camden Government for over 25 years.

Representing the talented and dedicated women leaders of the Fairview Dojo are Sempai Beth Stevenson

Kristen Martinovitch Rhann Black Belt Sempai Candidate. Specialty Extreme Self Defense and Full Contact Fighting

Master Tanya Jones Specialty Chinese Goju and Iaido Sword Training.

Master Bryant Harrell

Iron Eagle Martial Arts System Statesville North Carolina

Master Bryant is an adopted member of Sifu Karen's family and has been her brother and close friend for over 25 years.

He is a former Navy Seal and is now an Ordained Minister and member of the Statesville school system working with troubled teens. He is an accomplished swordsman and teacher.

Master Hugo Armando

Representing the Korean Martial Arts Master Armando is the Chief Instructor of The Positive Force Martial Arts School in Philadelphia Pa. Master Armando is a National Competitor and travels all over the country competing in Karate Tournaments.

His talents and dedication have earned many titles and awards. He and Master Wright host a nationally rated NSKA Tournament every year in October.

Master Armando also hosts a children's tournament in the spring.

Grand Master Ozzie Wright

8th Degree Chief Instructor Chang Moo Kwan Tae Kwon Do System of Korean Martial Arts. West Philadelphia PA. Grand Master Wright is also well known for his career as an educator and is presently the principal of West Philadelphia High School.

Grand Master Wright is an officer in the Army Reserve and recently served in the Gulf War and was called to service soon after September 11, 2001.

Sifu Mel Roberts

Chief Instructor Tri State Wushu/Kung Fu School Founder of the Bucks County Lion Dance Team. Sifu Roberts has been training for 38 years earning rank in several Martial Arts styles including, Shoto-Kan, Tae Kwon Do, Shito-Ryu and Chinese Martial Arts.

He continues to explore new experiences in the Martial Arts with a new focus on the Internal training and wellness studies.

Professor William Brown

10th Degree Zen Nippon Kudo Karate Do. Professor Brown began his Martial Arts training in 1958 and has devoted his life to teaching and representing his system in numerous demonstrations and competitions nationwide. Professor Brown is the head of his system and holds the highest possible rank in this art.

He was a member of the Wildwood Police Department and the Police Security for UMDNJ in Trenton and Stratford NJ. He is an expert in police defense tactics and Japanese weaponry.

2:45pm- Seijaku Roshi addresses everyone

3:00pm- Procession to outdoor area

3:15pm- Martial Arts Demonstrations

4:15pm- Refreshments and Fellowship (Everyone is welcome to meet and speak with the various masters, witness the various martial artist demonstrations, and visit the promo tables.)
